CARE PROVIDING

100_422_1965.jpg

Rosa's Day Care provides services tailored to each child age group. The programs are organized to help each child develop daily routines and build age appropriate self-help skills. We encourage an environment that fosters kindness, fairness and responsibility. The children are in a caring atmosphere, with a reassuring routine, and stimulating activities. They learn through a balance of play, development activities, and repetition. Meals and feeding are coordinated with parents and provided on consistent schedules. Our children are encouraged to follow good personal hygiene practices; we assist and educate each child on important cleanliness behaviors including hand washing, tooth care, and performing toilet training through positive reinforcement.

Our home is configured to offer a safe and nurturing environment for the children. We have ample space that is designated to our children. Indoors, there is a colorful area that provides room to interact, work on development exercises, and play with games and toys. A cozy area is partitioned for nap time when needed. The outdoor space provides an opportunity for children to explore outside in a safe surrounding. Here children can enjoy sunlight and play with additional outdoor toys.

DEVELOPMENT & LEARNING

Our development and learning program is a critical part of our curriculum. The activities are structured to foster learning, encourage individual expression and develop important skills in all areas. We offer an environment that introduces cultural experiences to our children through activities such as Spanish lessons. Children are allowed to express themselves by participation in visual arts and various craft exercises. Our goal is to support the development and growth of all our children in all important developmental areas: Social, Emotional, Cognitive and Physical.

For infants and early toddlers, our curriculum focuses on the early development of socialization and motor skills. Language is enriched through consistent speaking and music play. Locomotion activities are routinely performed to advance coordination and encourage physical skills such as sitting, standing and walking.

As children mature to advanced toddler and young preschool age, our curriculum continues to advance a child's development and growth. Children at this age begin to explore the arts with exercises such as coloring, story-telling and sing-along. Included in our program are experiences in language arts, dramatic play, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, creative arts, math, music, and movement. They are eager to learn; they learn by experiencing and by doing. Special offerings include Spanish lessons, educational field trips, and creative arts and crafts projects. It is important at Rosa's Day Care that children feel a sense of pride and ownership in their projects.

FUN & PLAY-TIME

Fun and play is an important part of curriculum because it allows children to enjoy their surrounding and interact with each other through play experiences. This is an opportunity to let children explore independently and socialize through games or play. There are ample toys and games that are setup in our home ready to foster a child's imagination during play. This part of our curriculum is a perfect opportunity to be creative and take advantage of special occasions. Frequent fun events ranging from Birthdays to Halloween costume parties are often coordinated for children and families to participate. It provides a chance for both children and families to connect and enjoy time at Rosa's Day Care.
